Bushong Farm, New Market Battlefield
The Bushong Family stayed on their farm during the 1864 Battle of New Market, taking refuge in the basement while the battle raged. The farmhouse has been restored. It can be seen from Interstate 81; here we see it from the battlefield (above) and the Hall of Valor (below).
