A Squirrel Visits Today

eastern gray squirrelIt didn't take this furry fella long to find his way to this feeder on the deck.

I took this photo today. As you can see the dogwood hasn't lost it's foliage yet - the season is running late this year.

All my life, I've seen most of the leaves on the ground by halloween. Here in the mountains, only a few of the trees are bare now. And at lower elevations, most of the leaves are still green. Even here, some of them are green. Seems weird, but the colors are pretty.
