Late February Friday Five

1. Looking Out is Mersad's photo-challenge today. I went back into my archives for this one because it matches the topic so well.

Shenandoah National Park
2. Yesterday we had pretty clouds as the daylight faded.

3. Some young men were fishing. As you can see, the weather was still exceptionally warm for February. Although this feels pleasant, it is a concern for both practical reasons (more pollen than usual, more insects) and because it probably indicates climate change.

4. I made up a little sign to post when trolls get annoying.

5. Our congressman has regular meetings for his staff to talk to constituents. There was a rumor that the congressman himself would show up at the "Town Hall" session on Wednesday so a crowd came. Also, Goodlatte was not there.

Someone is holding a flier that says "Wanted. Alive and at a town hall."

  1. lovely photos and, unfortunately, so many congressional reps are no shows...unless they are stumping to be re-elected. I'm voting differently next time 'round.

  2. I like to meet the elected better than helpers. More gets done

  3. Beautiful photo of the sky and water. It seems several elected officials have been coming up missing at town hall meetings recently.

  4. Nice collectionew of photos. I like your troll whistle. Too bad so many of our elected officials are being such conwards. I hope they don't get re-elected.

  5. Beautiful shots- the second one particularly. I've had generally positive experiences with politicians as of late, though a couple of Conservative politicos here in my part of the province have proven themselves repeatedly to be repugnant people.

  8. Lovely sunset. And sad that so many of us have missing congresspeople, including ours (a brand new congresswoman). Not impressed. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  9. Our congressman never showed up at a town hall meeting. There were lots of Where's Fred signs.

I love the clouds photo - it's really beautiful.

    Happy Five on Friday
