Shenandoah! A beautiful valley and a winding river -- how fortunate we are to live here! And since I love photography, I'm taking plenty of pictures and sharing them here. You'll find other subjects too. If you like historic sites or gardens or animals, you'll find them on this blog. Please visit often and feel free to comment.

How rude of that horse :)
And a week later, another cavalry horse ("Doc") in a nearby educational event got loose and disappeared for a while in the woods. According the the account I read, "We heard screams coming from the townhouses about 1/2 mile away. The people swimming in their backyard pool thought there was a bear in the woods, but it was just Doc checking them out. We caught the rascal and returned him to his appointed cavalry duties."
