Blogging with Birds
Since I have a major blog anniversary coming up on Friday, I've been digging around in my old posts. I found I've been posting pictures of birds since my first year of blogging. We were staying in Glebe Harbor at that time, and our deck had a long view of a creek that led to the Potomac.
I posted these pictures of great blue herons on September 8, 2005.

Over the years I continued to occasionally post photos of birds. I found a link to Wild Bird Wednesday in January 2014. I don’t know if it was my first time joining that linkup because I did not look at all my posts with birds. That particular post included this photo of a goldfinch.

...birds are among Mother Nature's greatest creations.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see how your love for birds has been woven through your blogging journey from the very start. Those early posts sound like treasures, especially with such serene views and beautiful sightings
ReplyDeleteBirds rule!
ReplyDeleteWaking up at first light, did I trigger the birds to wake, or did their chirps wake me up? Good to see the heron!
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of birds, love the herons and the cute Goldfinch. Take care, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteWhat would our world be without birds? So much poorer. Loved your pictures. I'm outside right now, listening to a Northern cardinal, a house finch, a red-bellied woodpecker and a blue jay and a bird or two I can't identify that well. I don't mind being woken up by the American robin 4:35 am morning chorus, either. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
