Saturday is Flag Day.

Evening Flag
Right now, the flag is just hanging there because the wind‘s not blowing. But a fresh breeze will come along, and it will fly proudly again.
I’m a fan of subtle metaphors.

Your neighbor's flag is very beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteJingoism and xenophobia.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that it’s used that way.
DeleteBeautiful view of the flag and sky!
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day and a happy weekend.
...may freedom reign.
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing flag and I love how they are following the rules for displaying it at night. We have a flag but I fly it only on holidays. Not very many people do so nowadays. We have a neighbor who flew his flag upside down during the whole Biden administration. I loathe stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat photo! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe sky makes a beautiful backdrop for the flag. Years ago, I worked with a woman who was once a Cub Scout leader and knew all the rules for displaying and flying our American flag. She got so upset when she saw a flag was not being treated properly. She would have thanked the owners of this flag. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI get a little upset when I see people with dirty tattered flags flying from a truck antenna. I also hate to see people wearing flag pattern clothing that’s sweaty or otherwise disrespectful.
DeleteI imagine it is beautiful when it waves.
ReplyDeleteMay be a little over the top? Still, a pretty flag and well photographed!
ReplyDeleteNice photo.
