Hi, Charlie here! Sometimes I wake up grumpy. I don’t stay that way; it’s just a waking up thing.

Grumpy Beagle and More
I don’t have pictures of a lot of different animals to show you today. Here’s a robin. We hear birds all the time, but most of them are hiding up in the trees.
I saw Tripod a couple times, but he didn’t come close enough for a picture. One time he was under our deck in the shade and he wouldn’t come out at all. Another time he was sitting on his own porch and didn’t want to come play. Mom made a pretend picture of a yellow cat like him.
On Monday, I had to stay at day boarding. Here’s a friend bringing me out when Mom came to take me home. Usually I walk out, but I like being picked up.
We went to Riley Park twice this week. The first time we just went to the picnic area and we didn’t stay long because a storm was coming. The next time we went to the playground area.
Today Mom put up a new garden flag. The squirrel is different from the squirrels in our yard. They are gray.
I will close with a picture of me in my mom’s hat.

Goat Pictures and a Short Report
Hi, it’s Charlie! I don’t have many pictures to show today because I didn’t have as many adventures this week. The goats are from a few weeks ago.
Mom has already told you that we went to Edinburg Park. We took a short walk and put some books in the little box next to the playground.
I stayed at daycare twice this week, and I visited Sadie a few times. She thinks she’s my girlfriend.
Here’s a squirrel. Today one started to creep onto our deck when I was napping in the shade. As soon as I looked at it, it ran away.
Here I am waiting on the grass for Miss Deborah to come and go for a walk. I’m always glad to see her.
That’s all I have to report right now. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Watchful Beagle
A Report from Charlie
Hello! Here I am in black and white. My friend Sadie is black and white all the time.
Mom used an ArtCard filter on this picture of me looking serious. Want to know what I was doing? I was out on the deck and a squirrel showed up on the railing.
It didn’t see me at first. It was coming over to get a drink out of the birdbath.
When I stood up to see it, it ran away. I went to the railing and watched for it, but it was gone.
I also saw some deer this week. They did not pay attention to me because I was in the car.
Yesterday I went to the dog park in Mount Jackson. There were no other dogs there, but I found some things to do. Here I am watching some small birds.
I also got to lie down on the grass and climb on the bench.
Today I went to Sadie‘s house and played. When Mom came back, she took a picture of me looking out the door. Sadie is there too, but she is short and you can barely see her.
I hope you got to see some interesting things this week too.

Starling, Grackle, Squirrel
At the Birdfy Feeder
It’s easy to get the starling and grackle confused when you can’t get a good look at them. They both look black on a cloudy day, But let the sun come out and you see that they have iridescent feathers. The starling looks speckled, and often travels in a large flock. Their beaks are both pointy but different in color, and the grackle has bright eyes that look cartoonish.
I can’t resist showing another picture of the grackle because it looks funny when it gets close to the camera.
The squirrel also gets close to the camera, usually so close that all that shows up in the photo is fur! Here’s a shot which finally showed part of the face.

Cat, Beagle, and More, for Saturday Critters
Let’s start with a picture for Caturday. I used PhotoEditor to add a filter and frame. The cat was available for adoption and we saw it in Petco.
I know Charlie’s fans like to hear his report so I’ll turn this over to him.
<<We went for a ride today. I saw people holding signs
But this post is about critters so here is a big one for you
Here’s a small animal that’s kind of funny. It’s a gray squirrel. They can move fast, but sometimes they just sit still and eat the birdseed.
Mostly, I had a good week. I went to visit Sadie a couple of times. Mom took me to different parks to walk and sniff. Yesterday we went to the state park, but it was really cold so we didn’t stay very long
When it’s cold, I had to curl up in my chair. I think I’ll do that now.

Critters and Cold Days
Hi, it’s Charlie! Mom says people like my reports, so I’ll do the Saturday
Critters report today.
I went to Sadie’s house the other day. I get so excited when I go there. We
chase a ball and eat snacks. Her mom says she is part Shih Tzu and part
Pomeranian. I am all Beagle. But we can still be friends.
This looks like a deer, but not a real one. Real deer are thinner and have
longer legs.
The rest of today’s pictures are from a walk in Riley Park. I saw two animal
sculptures. They were cold.
It’s been very cold in the mornings, but most afternoons are okay. I don’t
like putting clothes on, and sometimes I take them off in the car. My mom
wears extra clothes when it’s cold. She says I should wear them too.
