Birds and Barns in Winter


Our pretty snow is melting, but that's good news for those who drive the back roads. 

The geese have worn paths across the snow. 

Wild Bird Wednesday: In addition to the geese on the lake, we see a cardinal and a Carolina wren today.



Today I dropped off some shoes and shirts at the thrift store and stopped at the hardware store. Then I took some pictures near Strasburg and Middletown. I particularly wanted to get some photos of barns in the snow.

    Northern Cardinal is a daily visitor in our yard, but we still await the arrival of the first Carolina Wren.

    Beautiful barns, and birds. I added my footprints to those of geese in the mud on our path around the lake yesterday.
