Woodstock, Virginia
This cozy house stands near Spring Hollow Run, the creek I showed yesterday that was filled with ducks. I like the way the split-rail fence stands out in the snow. This quiet spot is only a block away from the town's busy main street.
There are some cute shops on Main Street. More than one of them proudly flies a banner that lets us know this is not the location of the famous music festival (which is in New York State), but this town is older.

ReplyDeleteI like the split rail fence in the snow and the name of the shop is cute..Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI had a big section of split rail when I first moved here I made from trees I cleared, but livestock and time have plowed it down.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely shot. The fence is perfect.
ReplyDeleteNice to see another Woodstock! I grew up in Woodstock Ontario, and then there's the one in Vermont, in New Brinswick, and the original in the UK. Sorry I've missed ever going to your Woodstock!
ReplyDeleteGreat setting for the cozy little house. Really, there are other Woodstocks? I thought Woodstock happened in 1969. What a year. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI quite like that little cabin.
ReplyDeleteThere's a Woodstock in southern Ontario too, as Furry Gnome mentions.
Looks like a quaint place. I like the rail fence photo too!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a beautiful little place to visit. I especially like your photo of the house behind the split-rail fence.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I am so happy to meet you. Your photos are beautiful and you live in such a lovely part of the country. The old farms, the little towns and so many ponds and creeks. I love it. There is something so intriguing about a split-rail fence. My daughter says that I get exciting each time I see one, never realized that until she pointed it out, LOL. We live in the Pacfic Northwest desert area. I am delighted that I found your blog. Note to self, 'must do more blog hopping". I am your newest follower and I would love to invite you to hop on over to my blog. I am celebrating my three year blogging birthday with a Give-a-Way . . . it is not much but it is handmade :)
ReplyDeleteYour new blogging sister,
