These are mallard ducks and they were in the creek on both sides of the bridge. They were floating and flying and landing and quacking! While I was standing on the side of the road taking pictures, a pickup truck stopped and the driver got out and snapped a couple of photos with his cell phone. He said his wife wanted some pictures; I could see her waiting in the truck.
Wonderful photos that nice to see so many ducks together, a very nice place!

The open water is the draw. Very nice captures
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of ducks in one place. I imagine they were all looking for some open water and this was so convenient that they decided to brave the humans.
ReplyDeleteThat's one crowded pond! Love your first shot with the old, weathered building.

ReplyDeleteDucks! We're big fans of ducks here, how amazing to see so many together. Seems like from the comments above, they may have been looking for open water in such a wintery, frozen landscape. Thanks for linking up with us at Reconnect With Nature, great to have you on board. xx
