March madness could refer to Virginia weather. We had early spring weather, but winter came rushing back.
Yesterday was unseasonably warm, with temperatures in the 80s. Today the temperature dropped to 33°F. It was the greatest drop in temperature over a 24 hour period in 90 years! And it snowed this morning!
Flowers had already started to bloom.
Yesterday was warm. I took Charlie for a ride and he actually did very well in the car. We’ve been working on his fear of the car for over three years. He finally seems to be enjoying himself.
We took a walk in Strasburg. I wanted to get a few pictures of the “Signs of Fascism” demonstration. It takes place on Wednesdays in varying locations.
I went shopping and use the “Gas Buddy” app to find the cheapest gas around. The price has gone up by forty cents a gallon since the latest war started in the Middle East.
The rain stopped this afternoon and the sun came out. After I picked up Charlie, I stopped behind the county recreation building to take a Skywatch picture. The temperature was still cold.

Yes, the weather is crazy everywhere.

One of my US flickr contacts took a few Spring snaps yesterday while it was snowing. The day before it was 31C at her place. We live in weird times.
ReplyDeleteEveryone longs for Spring temperature with sun
ReplyDeleteI am sure that the loud-mouthed screamer has no idea what a communist is. But he may get to recognize a fascist in ways that he won’t like.
ReplyDeleteDearest Linda,
ReplyDeleteHere in Northern Italy too the weather is truly crazy and is driving us mad, we do not understand which season we're in, and it's far hard not to keep a cold!
How lovely to read that your Charly is getting used to the car, it's a good thing for both of you indeed!
Have a blessed weekend

Good sky shot.
ReplyDelete...early magnolias can be damaged in ricocheting weather!
ReplyDeleteOur weather is the same here, 80's one day and now it is 26. We had a snow shower yesterday too. I am glad Charlie is enjoying the car rides now. Take care, happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWeather yo-yo here as well! I must say I don't have a clue what those red things are in your sky shot.
ReplyDeleteThey’re kayaks! I considered identifying them, but then I figured I’d see if someone wanted to guess. 😊
DeleteWe got a dusting of snow overnight, just enough to be a nuisance, but it's been really windy here in the Southern Tier of New York, and yes, the big temperature plunge. I'm freezing! My heart sank when I saw the magnolia blossoms in your post half open-I hope the flowers survived. But I was so happy to see a happy Charlie in the car. He was through so much in his pre-rescue life and you've been so patient with him. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI am proud that Charlie is getting used to car rides. It is hard to dress these days will it be cold with snow/hail, hot with tornadoes and high winds or rainy.
ReplyDeleteSweet photograph of Charlie, it's good that he is enjoying his car rides now.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
You are so patient with Charlie and sounds like it might be paying off, at least for car rides.
