Catbird and Possums
A few days ago I looked outside and was surprised to see a possum in the yard next door. Then another one came out of the woods!
Technically these are Virginia opossums, but they are commonly called possums. I think these are young ones.

Great photos of the critters.
ReplyDeleteI love the Catbird, I am seeing them here too. The opossums are strange looking critters. Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeletePossums look like rats to me
ReplyDeleteI have only ever seen one live possum; sadly several road kills.
ReplyDelete...I only see possum on the centerline of the road.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda :=)
ReplyDeleteYou have had some interesting visitors. I have never seen an opossum, but those you captured do look like juveniles. The Catbird is a cool looking bird, I wonder how it got it's name!
It makes a mewing sound!
DeleteTHose young possums had best be wary of various hunting critters!
ReplyDeleteThe little possums are oddly cute.
ReplyDeleteSo a catbird is a thing? I learn stuff from you all the time.
ReplyDeleteWe have possums all over the place here in Oklahoma. Big uns and little uns like yours. The little ones can get kind of feisty.
So nice to be able to comment on your blog. Thanks for the tip for using Chrome. I have everything on Edge right now and dread switching everything over.
