Stump in the Sky?

Burke, Virginia

Yesterday  I had an appointment with an allergist in Burke, so afterward I went to nearby Burke Lake Park.  I have seen pictures of eagles there, but I was not fortunate enough to see one.

You can see the clouds reflected in the lake. The stump and log look almost like they are floating in the sky.

A butterfly was circling around, and I managed to get it in a picture.

  1. I love the butterfly pic. They always flutter by so fast, you were lucky to be able to catch it.

  7. The black-and-white shot, for those above asking the question, is a Purple Martin colony.
