It’s the green grass in the picture that signifies spring. We see robins all year long.
The Latin name for American Robin is turdus migratorius. Robins like to eat worms in the morning and fruit in the afternoon. Since they forage in lawns, they sometimes succumb to pesticide poisoning.

...robins are a classic sign of spring!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the robins. It's a worrying thought about pesticides.
ReplyDeleteWow...excellent portrait of the Robin. Happy spring.
ReplyDeleteWe too have robins year 'round. Still, they are a sign of the season.

Lovely post
ReplyDeleteGrass here won't get green for awhile.
ReplyDeleteTime to ban pesticides forever.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful robin. There are certainly less numbers of birds due to the stupid landscape gardeners.
ReplyDeleteAqui eles são livres, não uso pesticidas!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing robins ...
