Tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of the "911" attacks so I want to mention the first responders who braved the dangers of fires and damaged buildings to rescue people. I remembered photographing a memorial in Harrisonburg that seems appropriate. This is Rockingham County Fallen Fire and EMS Memorial.
"This memorial is dedicated to the memory of the employees and volunteers in the county’s fire and emergency medical services who have died in the line of duty. It is also a tribute to those who carry on the noble tradition of unselfish service to their communities, now and in the future."Thank you fire and rescue heroes!
Yesterday evening I noticed the crescent moon looking pretty against a lavender sky.
...9-11 is one of many days to remember.

É lamentável verificar ao que chegam os extremismos negacionistas de certos grupos.

Glad to hear of your new phone! And yes, there are many brave people caring for others...these days in hospitals...including the ones who run laundry and clean the halls and rooms with the turnover.
ReplyDeleteNice post
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new phone. That's a pretty moon shot!
ReplyDeletePretty moon shot in the after sunset sky. Yes, respect for all first responders. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteNice moon photo. We are looking to get a new phone that is smart. We still have a dumb phone that we bought 7 years ago. Guess I should upgrade. :)
ReplyDeleteQuite fitting for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see the crescent moon, a nice photograph.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
A lovely gift from your daughters, and a super photo of Lynn. First responders well deserve our never ending thanks. I read several survivors’ stories earlier on. Brought me to tears.
