I've always photographed signs but joining a blog hop for Signs reminds me to look for amusing ones.
The "Need a Screw" Sign is in front of Borden's Hardware Store.
By the way, the title for this post refers to the Label (tag) "Signs" that Blogspot keeps track of. At the bottom of the page are statistics for the Labels that I use.
The "Sharp Work" sign is in a clinic where they draw blood for testing.
"Sing More, Tweet Less" on a shopping bag that was for sale in Cracker Barrel. The "Your Crazy is Showing" sign was also there.
I photographed the final two signs today in Front Royal. "LOVE" is a common theme in Virginia. "Heroes work here" refers to the staff of a nursing home.
I'm thankful for all the health care workers who have persisted through the pandemic that has challenged us for an entire year. Now that large numbers of people are getting vaccinated, it looks like the threat may finally be about to get less. I certainly hope so.
Thankful Thursday. |
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI always love the hero signs. The "Your crazy is showing" is a cute one. Great collection of signs. Take care, have a happy day!
The first is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteGreat signs. The first two made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these signs.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
We have the Heroes Work Here signs here, too (New York State). But no LOVE signs. I've always enjoyed them in Virginia. Today, I saw a sign in front of a local glassblowers shop- "Weed is Legal Now Buy a New Pipe". Now, that is a sign I never would have expected to see! If only I could have taken a picture Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteWow! Well, I suppose we may see signs like that in Virginia before too long.
DeleteI was just told that Front Royal won the State Little League Tournament in about 1959. They came to the amphibious base in Virginia Beach and my husband watched them play. We never knew that about the previous name. Loved all the signs.
ReplyDeleteWe also appreciate all those who kept us and consider them all heroes.
ReplyDeleteKept us going that should have read :)
