Barriers and Beauty

Bentonville, VA: You can still enter Shenandoah River State Park but facilities are closed due to the pandemic. The road to the campground is blocked off.

You can still access trails, the river, and the beautiful Cullers Overlook.

On the way home from there I pass the 619 Market, which continues to use their message board to get our attention. I suspect they are short of letters and commas.

Winchester, VA: This pretty gate and landscaping caught my eye.

Also, I saw a sign on a building that corrected an assumption I had: "This is not a door."

  4. It does seem like prison, staying in all the time. The "this is not a door" sign really looks like a door. :)

  5. I just went out to do laundry and pick up a pizza...wearing masks...then sanitizing everything I'd touched, phone, my cart to carry laundry, my purse, and of course my hands, then found I had to still take the pizza out of the box, so had to wash my hands again! And we're on a boil-water alert since the town is working on the water lines. I ran 3 gallons of good water last night, but have already washed 1/2 of one down the drain for my clean hands.

  7. British Columbia has the Pacific Dogwood as it's flower. Ours are creamy white with yellowish tones. They say fishing is good when the dogwoods bloom. - Margy

  9. So, not a door? Made me smile, thanks Linda. Enjoyed each photo but particularly the flowers and the river scene. Hope the trails are open soon when it becomes safer to do so.
