This Afternoon at Blandy.

After high temperatures at mid-day, things cooled off slightly and I took a short walk at Blandy, the State Arboretum.  I took pictures in the Pollinating Garden, and I intend to show some flowers later this week. Since today is Wild Bird Wednesday, I want to share this hummingbird. He got fairly close but of course he flew off when I moved.

Look, he has a sign telling how smart he is!

Some squirrels were playing in a tree. Most of the pictures I took of them were blurred because they moved quickly.  I managed to get a picture of this one on a branch.

Canada geese circled over one of the ponds.

As I drove through the farm, I stopped to take a picture across a field and noticed a bird flying around. I zoomed in as he drew closer.
