The brick building is Faith Lutheran Church. It was constructed in 1975 but has roots going back to 1816.
After another view of the church building, let's look at one more barn.
Those things in front? My guess is that they were cupolas saved from the roof of a dairy barn. If you have a better idea, let me know in the comments.
Passage Creek runs through Fort Valley. There are some good swimming holes and places to fish.
Wow,this place looks lovely,especially the creek☺
ReplyDelete...your first barn with the overhang is something that I would rarely see here. I seen it in Pa and to the south, the color is new to me. I can find large metal cupolas like those here. Thanks Linda for checking in, enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteHello, love the barn photos. The creek looks beautiful, a nice summer spot. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember finding swimming holes in the summer with my kids, and returning each year to favorite spots! Thanks for the photo!
ReplyDeletei enjoy the fly fishing pic .. we see that around here a lot ... i find it would be boring but the folks i speak with say it is very relaxing?? interesting i think. have a great week!! ( ;
ReplyDeleteI like all the different red roofs! That swimming hole looks especially inviting.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the creek.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Gorgeous vistas and perhaps even some trout fishing...:)
ReplyDeleteYes! The creek is stocked with trout.
DeleteI do like the design of the church.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely homesteads! The barns are all great and I always admire people who keep their farm homes so beautifully! You know they are doing it because they love their home and take pride in it and not to keep up with or impress their neighbors, (since they don’t have any).
