It's Winter Going on Spring.


Mallard Ducks.
Cold, then mild, then freezing... the weather goes back and forth. The water birds don't seem to mind.
 
Geese taking off triggered the trail camera. (These two images have a cyan color cast. The trail cam doesn't have as good a lens has my regular cameras. Still, it captures things that I don't even see, so I can't complain.)






I looked out the window today and saw a robin. Grabbed my camera and got his picture.

The final photo shows a patch of snowdrops (Galanthus) that I saw near Woodstock on Saturday.

    The hillside has a slight frosting of snow or from a hard freeze, which is it? That robin sure is a beaut! Just look at that bright red chest! Spring is on its way! Thanks for the photo share and link up!

    Beautiful shots!

    Ideally speaking a slow melt would be best here, as you don't want the temperatures going up too fast while the snowpack is melting.

    A very enjoyable series of photos, and always fun to see what a trail cam turns up. I am looking forward to seeing the sight of our first robin, and noticed there are buds on the trees around here. Spring will be here soon :)

    Hope spring eternal and it is coming someday to Minnesota as well. Although I was allowed into my own two blogs by google for over a month my former student and computer guru final fixed it. Also my essential tremor made typing nigh impossible so he got me a talk to type system called Dragon. So back to emailing and blogging has me smiling...:)
