We've had a couple of sparrow families in our bird houses this spring. Perhaps they appreciate my feeding them all winter.
Also, a large turtle ambled through our yard. I saw him from the window and had time to grab my camera and take his picture.
I took the last three photos at our community lake this morning. I believe the goose is a hybrid.
I don't know who laid these eggs. I wonder if the parents have abandoned them. A broken egg lay nearby.
Wow !! You made fantastic pictures !! How nice to see birds that I just love!

Wonderful photos! I love watching finches.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have finches at our feeders in Oregon (previous life) and I love watching them. Mom Duck is doing a good job herding her flock. Kinda' sad about the eggs, but everything else is looking great around your area this late Spring/early summer/ between seasons/ or whatever we call early June. I enjoyed every bit of this post.
ReplyDeleteLove the turtle! And the mother duck and her ducklings are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Your finches also remind me of the sparrows around here. How exciting to have a turtle in your yard.
ReplyDeleteBirds around the house are always a great thing to see.
