It helps that our yard is next to a lake, attracting geese and other water-loving birds. I love watching the geese land.
The red-winged blackbirds are back! I understand this is a sign of spring.
The View from Squirrel Ridge features thousands of views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. I post frequently so please visit often.

Love the Geese in flight!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to live in the countryside! I like the red bird. Some good shots.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
The cardinal is quite striking. We see them up here, but not in the city, always in the country.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be weeks before the red wing blackbirds turn up here.
Nice pictures. I like the geese in flight too.
ReplyDeleteReally fabulous feeder shots! And I love the overflying geese!
ReplyDeleteQuelle chance de pouvoir observer le Cardinal avec une telle proximité ;-)

That's a beautiful photo of a cardinal. We have a few out here in California, at what is called Dairy Mart Farms, near the Tijuana River.
ReplyDeleteI love to see the Geese land. At Gunpowder point, as well as Salton Sea, we get a lot of Brant's and Snow's.
I always like seeing the red winged blackbirds. Usually on the way to work, for me.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a wonderful place for birding --- and you must have the cleanest windows in the world! Even if I were able to have a feeder outside my window (sadly I can't) ... the birds wouldn't show up as beautifully as yours do. I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteThe red cardinals always get my attention.
ReplyDeleteLove the birds flying in formation you shared with ALL SEASONS! We don't see here as many birds as deer:) Great captures of the birds, Linda - have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI always love the red cardinals, they are so striking.
ReplyDeleteGreat series of photographs though, thank you.
All the best Jan
