Oh, my, how times change. It's a shame that the pretty house is gone, but I am happy you had the before photos. I hope the new year brings you many more chances for great photos!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they moved it or disassembled it. Interesting post.
ReplyDeleteIt's like that round our place blink and you miss the move! Such a shame when all that history goes... as you can tell I'm in the mood for clinging on to everything!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.

Linda, I have photographed many barn that later disappeared, few things last forever. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a change
ReplyDeleteQuite a difference!
ReplyDeleteMy eye went right to the shadow car!
ReplyDeleteA happy New Year to you! That you may be given the desires of your heart, Linda:)
ReplyDeleteI have a love for silo's - have no idea why. I know the feeling coming back to a place and a major feature is gone! Thank you so much for sharing your visit to this noteworthy place with ALL SEASONS!"See" you back next week!
Sad to see those old buildings go.
ReplyDeleteThat's sad that they decided to remove the buildings. A least you got photos of what it was before.
ReplyDeleteSad to see it go....it really looks different
ReplyDeleteIt's good that memories of the barn live on your photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat before and after shots, thanks for joining me for the first Mosaic Monday of 2017.
ReplyDeleteI have had the same thing happen near our second home in Illinois-- beautiful old (and run-down) barns suddenly disappear to be replaced by prefab aluminum sheds or garages or worse, new housing developments.
ReplyDeleteNothing changes but the changes as they say. Nice before and after shots.
ReplyDeleteThat's a bit disorienting to go back to a favorite place and find the landmarks gone! As you say, it is still a great place ... beautiful scenery, nature and history all in one visit.
ReplyDeleteQuite an appealing landscape on which to live (at one time).
