Meadow Spring Parking Lot, September 2004 |
We took the shorter route to Mary's Rock, which is about 2.8 miles round-trip from Meadow Spring Parking Area on Skyline Drive. It's a fairly steep hike but the trail is well-marked.

ReplyDeleteOh man... I don't knnow that I would want to sit on that huge rock looking down. I would probably fall over.
ReplyDeleteThis post (and the previous one) is very poignant. It was good of you to fulfill your mother's wish. It's obvious Mary's Rock was a special place to your mother.
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking views from there. I'd be happy hiking that trail.
ReplyDeleteNice trail. What a lovely thing to do to remember your parents.

ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with Mary's Rock. Is this near Shenandoah Nat'l Park? Great photos, nice to see you and your family.. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteEileen, it is in Shenandoah Natl Park. You can even hike there from the parking lot on US 211 at Panorama if you are up for the climb.
