Yesterday I posted photographs that my parents took in August 1941 on the summit of Mary's Rock in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Today I was organizing some photo CD's and I happened across one that contained my 2004 pictures from our hike to Mary's Rock. This was the expedition that my sister and I organized in order to scatter our parents' ashes as my mother had requested. We took the shorter route to Mary's Rock, which is about 2.8 miles round-trip from Meadow Spring Parking Area on Skyline Drive. It's a fairly steep hike but the trail is well-marked.

ReplyDeleteEileen, it is in Shenandoah Natl Park. You can even hike there from the parking lot on US 211 at Panorama if you are up for the climb.
