Bird on a High Post

This little guy was perched high on a stockade post at Fort Edwards. I decided it was suitable for Skywatch Friday because of the pretty clouds behind him.
My husband took this picture of me standing next to the reconstruction of the palisade.

And before I leave the topic of Fort Edwards, let me share a current view of the marker in the garden, dedicated "In Memory of the soldiers and settlers who lost their lives in Hampshire County during the French and Indian War."

See all my "Fort Edwards" posts.

  2. Looking at your bird made me scrolldown the rest of the blog and further down to other bl;ogs which I scanned through. 250 years does not seem that long ago when you look at the historic places near where I live but you forget what happened and the people who were just starting out on a new venture. I must come back again.
