Graffiti House Museum

I've visited the museum at Brandy Station before but I was happy to tour it again at the end of our Civil War field trip.  It's located in a building that was used as a hospital during the Civil War. Upstairs the walls are covered with graffiti left by the soldiers.

We were given a guided tour by a knowledgable man who said it was permissible to take photos.

The  inscriptions are still being uncovered. Here graffiti is not so much art as it is historical evidence. It's definitely worth a visit — see the Brandy Station Foundation website for hours (on the Information page).
