On Sunday our local Lions Club sponsored a ball game at the New Market Rebels Ball Park. So we went. The Rebels were playing the Covington Lumberjacks (or Jacks, for short).
The Rebels won, breaking a short losing streak. I had trouble sitting still for the game because after an hour I was hit by hip pain/back spasms, which have been plaguing me lately. However, we were fortunate to have lovely weather until after the game ended. About the time we reached Mt. Jackson, a heavy thunderstorm struck. We drove through the rain and it let up by the time we reached Basye.
