Virginia Bluebells along the Gokotta Trail

Seven Bends State Park

Although I was tired this afternoon, Charlie really wanted to go out for an adventure, and we didn’t take one yesterday because it rained just as I was preparing to go. I’ve been working on my taxes for a few days, and I was ready for a break this afternoon. I’ve seen pictures showing that bluebells are blooming, so we headed for the state park.

The flowers are blooming along the river.

The redbud trees are blooming too. It was a lovely day!

  1. “Working on my taxes for a few days!” Your affairs must be inordinately complicated!

    1. I sold a property that was a tax-free exchange. If I don’t find every possible deduction, it will cost me a lot because my Medicare premium will go up for a year. (The premiums become income-based at a certain point.)

  5. Loved your photos. Forsythias are starting to come out where I live in New York State so I always enjoy coming attractions. Bluebells are a beautiful spring wildflower, and the redbuds are one of my favorite blooming trees, next to dogwoods. Hope Charlie had a great time posing next to the bluebells. I wonder if he smells something we can't. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
