Our state park staff won second place in the town’s annual pumpkin character
competition. They created a fish paddling a kayak.
On Tuesday I stopped at their office in town to take a picture of the unique
creation just as these friendly rangers showed up. (How’s that for timing?) After I congratulated them, I asked them to pose with the kayak and pumpkin-head fish.
Charlie and I had just come from Seven Bends State Park, where we both like to walk. The river was quite low. We did get some rain the next day and last night, so that may have relieved the drought a little.

That's quite a creation, the fish and kayak pumpkin character.
ReplyDeleteCharlie looks like he is enjoying the outing.
Very creative indeed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Charlie concentrating.
Blue pumpkins :-))
ReplyDeleteThat is a bit different.
ReplyDeleteI like the view.
ReplyDelete...I love the river view.
ReplyDeleteThose rangers look charming and dedicated. Thanks for showing them. I am sure they must feel under constant threat these days. Tell them an admirer of their work sends his best from Canada.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the state park staff on the winning 2nd place in the pumpkin contest. It is cute. Love the river photo and Charlie. Take care, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun Halloween decoration...so glad they got a prize for their creativity. Pats to Charlie as he's sitting so well in a car!
