Not Walking in the Park

Charlie likes to get exercise but the snow has made it difficult. Since many sidewalks have not been cleared yet, I can't take him for a long walk near our house. I'm sure the dog park is covered with snow.

This afternoon I needed to run errands so I decided to check out nearby Seven Bends State Park. I used the Hollingsworth Road entrance because the Lupton Bridge has been blocked by downed trees for over a week. The highway department is busy just clearing snow off the roads.

The river looked pretty, but temperatures are still below freezing. The parking lot had been plowed, but still there was a layer of ice and snow on the gravel. Foot prints indicated that someone had trudged out on the trails, but I don’t plan to try it in the snow.
