1. Weekend Reflections: I have a pair of pictures I took at a park near Stephens City.
There was barely a crust of ice on the deeper areas of water. In the second photo, clear water in the foreground allows you to see more detail in the reflected trees.
2. Moving to a different body of water, we see the South Fork of the Shenandoah near Eastham Park. It was a cloudy winter day. Two men happened to be looking around at the boat landing. In the distance are the Blue Ridge Mountains. I'm going up there for the next picture.
3. This is the wayside at Thornton Gap, where Route 211 crosses the Blue Ridge. I posted a different view of this sign in June 2013.
4. Skywatch Friday: Here we've looking west from the Blue Ridge at Sunset.
5. Friday Bliss and Floral Friday: These flowers were on the table in Spelunker's, a burger place in Front Royal.
...the frozen water and the sunsets sure grabbed my attention, they are wonderful. Thanks Linda for sharing, enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the colorless nature views - the same here. No trace of winter & snow.
ReplyDeleteHello, pretty views of the river, love the sky shot too. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank you for the visit and comment.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that you somehow had memory of that sign having been photographed in 2013. Your filing system is amazing...and I not you've been posting here sine 2015. Just this morning I was wondering if blogger itself can be counted on to remain active almost forever.
ReplyDeleteI knew I had photographed it at some point. I used the search box on my blog and it came up.
DeleteLove the reflection photos! Nice to see some fresh cut flowers to brighten things up!
ReplyDeletePretty reflections off the icy water, and I like the sky shot!
ReplyDeleteSo much rain across the country. Areas near our Bellingham condo are flooded but we are fortunately safe in town. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI love the first two photos and the reflections - ice is deadly but beautiful - the sunset was wonderful, too. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteThat view with the low stone wall is my favourite.
