Hiking to High Bridge

walkers on trail

To reach historic High Bridge, our group walked about a mile on a trail that follows the old railroad bed. Dr. Poland led us briskly and I was just about out of breath by the time we reached the bridge. Guess my walks have been slow-paced lately, usually with a dog who stops to sniff the ground every 50 feet or so.

See High Bridge Trail Park, a new Virginia State Park situated along the old railroad right-of-way.
