2026 Piedmont Art Show

The Plains, VA

Yesterday I picked up Deborah and Frank and drove to the art show at Grace Episcopal Church. It’s always a lovely show, enhanced by light coming through the stained glass windows.

Here are five paintings that caught my eye.

We took Charlie with us because he can’t handle staying alone. Deborah and I took turns walking him so we could each see the art.

The church was founded in 1855. Some of the tall trees around it appear to be almost that old.

  4. I think that in some ways you have become a slave to Charlie.

    1. Yes, a woman stopped to meet him and she turned out to be one of the artists.

  7. Perfect place for the exhibit! I'm glad that the two of you could take turns walking Charlie (the most important part of the excursion of course, no matter how beautiful the art was!

  8. I love that archway under the bell tower/steeple. It’s been a long time sine I was in The Plains. The art exhibit would definitely be my cup of tea.
