Charlie and I took a walk around Muse Vineyards yesterday afternoon.
It’s located between the North Fork and the Massanutten Mountains. Several times a year, the river rises and floods the Hollingsworth Road Bridge, and residents have to use footbridge, which is elevated, if they want to go to Woodstock.

A lovely walk! Pretty scenery!
ReplyDeleteI don’t associate vineyards with your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteThere are hundreds of wineries in Virginia. When I was a kid, there were hardly any. Then someone figured out what kind of vine was best for the climate and how to make it hardy by grafting it onto native grape roots.

ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
What an enchanting place for a walk. Gorgeous photos. Your last photo should be on a postcard.
ReplyDeleteI like the shots between the vine rows. If that's what they are called, they probably have a specific name for vineyard rows.
