Bear Mural and The Marketplace

Sperryville, VA

It seems like every time I go to Sperryville, I see a new mural! Well, I don’t go there very often. It’s an hour away from home, and across two mountain ranges.

I went this weekend to visit the Marketplace. I had not been there since it closed nine years ago. Some of the artists are back, and there are also other shops, including a bakery. Apparently this charming mall reopened last year, but I did not know about it until I saw their Christmas ad.

  2. The Marketplace seems like a great place to visit. The mural is beautiful, the bear looks so real. I like the sign about the gift bags, lol. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Linda.

  4. Great mural. I'm partial to black bears, since they eat the garbage quite frequently outside our "bear proof" trash bins. I've not seen one, but just the leavings of trash all over the place. I feel so sorry for the increased bear population as a result of their eating human scraps. And sorry for our maintenance man who has to clean it all up each time. Oh, tangent there. Love the mall!
