I’m With My Boys, I’m With My Troops

"I am walking down the street
I'm feeling all right
I'm with my boys
I'm with my troops.”

— Paul Simon

Do song lyrics just pop into your head sometimes? I’m sure I’m not the only person who experience this.

  2. Yes! All the time.
Most recently it's Search and Destroy by Iggy and the Stooges:
"I'm a streetwalking cheetah with a heart full of napalm
    I'm a runaway son of a nuclear A-bomb
I am the world's forgotten boy
The one who searches and destroys"

Iggy's almost 80 and still singing it on stage 53 years later.

  3. Oh yes - and frequently at inappropriate times :) Nicely caught.

  4. I think it is pretty much universal that song lyrics - and other oddities - pop into people’s heads. Perhaps they are triggered by cues we don’t recognize.

  6. Love this, great capture of those boys out and about enjoying themselves. Anything with Paul Simon and I am tapping away.

  7. I saw Paul Simon on a captured late night show the other day...with his new album. It's a very sweet sound, but not like the ones I remember and sing easily!
