A lovely tribute. I know that she used to spend a lot of time on Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, but I don’t believe that I have read any of her works.
Great sculpture to memorialize Willa Cather. I always think of her as an author of the western states, so it's good to see she's appreciated at the Museum of the Shenandoah. Now I know the sculptor, Littleton Alston was an black artist of Virginia.
The View from Squirrel Ridge features thousands of views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. I post frequently so please visit often.

ReplyDeleteWilla Cather spent her early childhood in Virginia. She did write one book set in Virginia.
