Here I am in a beautiful area, yet I feel mired down by pains and my diminishing abilities. Life is full of challenges yet achingly ordinary.
Yesterday I had a root canal in Manassas. Carbocaine kept the pain away until it wore off, and then oh boy! And now I seem to be reacting to NSAIDS. A month ago I had outpatient surgery for female problems, or are they aging problems? Also, my left hip is very sore, especially when I first get up in the morning.
And my washing machine stopped running. Today I ordered a new one. It should be here on Monday. I know, first world problems!
Both Marie and Allison have recently recovered from Covid. I still haven’t gotten it, knock on wood.
Well, the weather was nice today and Charlie enjoyed the dog park. Let’s hope we can make 2023 a good year.
Beautiful views on your end of the world. Love 1st and 3rd shot
ReplyDeleteWell, Linda, I dread reading on to hear of more of your health problems. That happens with aging, there comes a time when you can thank the Lord for good doctors keeping you alive. I would have used up all nine of mine were it not for modern medicine.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Jim and I contracted the COVID on a cruise in March, I haven't been the same healthwise since. And we have artificial parts, etc. Take good care of your teeth, I now have an upper appliance and can no longer bite.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours,
..
I liked these photos! I wish you a very happy and healthy new year in 2023. Sorry you’ve had the health issues and including your dental visits. Glad Marie and Allison are getting over their Covid. When I think of it all, about what is going on out there, I feel uneasy. I think of the awful things that are going on out there for people and feel very sad. Hopefully 2023 the tide will turn for the better.
ReplyDeleteIt is perhaps a fact that because modern medicine keeps us alive for so much longer we experience an ever increasing suite of health problems. In the past we would have been dead already!
ReplyDelete...first world problems often seem to be major.
ReplyDeleteKeep on putting one foot in front of the other...that should be the extent of my new years resolutions, if I did any at all. Gratitude for any and all blessings!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful shot to end the year with.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy new year 2023, Linda and family!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteSorry you are having health issues, I am glad your daughters have recovered from COVID. Beautiful sky capture. I wish you and yours all the best in 2023, a happy and healthy New Year!
Sorry about your recent health issues. I'm also hoping for a better 2023.
ReplyDeleteGetting older isn't much fun :( Love your black and white photo, and the beautifully optimistic sunset. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI know, as we all age, we learn the truth of Betty Davis' keen observation "Old age ain't no place for sissies!" but we are still here making the best of things - I wish you a better 2023 - and many photo ops for your pleasure. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, sweet Lady!

ReplyDeleteNice shots! Root canals are the worst! I spent Thursday morning in a chair while a dentist drilled and grinded in my mouth. It still hurts when and after I eat. I have to go back next week to have a permanent crown put in.
