July 4 is Independence Day here in the States. We celebrate our country even as we fear its weaknesses and excesses.
I haven’t given up hope. This country has seen awful problems before.
I believe in striving to make things better in the ways that you can, even small ways. I think that praying for things to be better can help insofar as it clarifies your intentions and pushes you to do better, to be more forgiving, and to be kind.
Peace!
Happy 4th of July Linda. Beautiful mural with the bee and the postal boxes are lovely. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Linda.
ReplyDelete...I wish that I was more hopeful.
ReplyDeleteBella imagen y ten un feliz 4 de julio. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteHappy July 4th, Linda. Like Tom, I wish I could see the positives outweighing the negatives about now. That is a bee utiful mural. Those mail boxes are adorable, too.
ReplyDeleteI am afraid that I cannot share your optimism, Linda.

The first photo is my favorite today!
ReplyDeleteI do believe that prayer changes things for the better.
I hope you have a great week!
Lovely images Linda and I share your sentiments. We must be hopeful for better days ahead.
ReplyDeleteSuch a hard time we are having. I am with you in believing that Americans can and will do better -- by voting and by keeping our political system more honest. We can overcome the damage from the republican-controlled Supreme Court and its destructive intentions.

Love the bee mural, Linda. Hope is always helpful.
ReplyDeleteI believe that while the damage is substantial and the work will be long, as Dr. King said, the arc of history bends towards justice.
