Country Scenes Near Forestville

Shenandoah County, Virginia

Solomon's Lutheran Church began in 1793. I did not find much about it except the old German records of both this church and the Old Pine Church were bound together in one volume.

Many German immigrants settled in the Shenandoah Valley, bringing their religions with them.

  1. It's interesting that you use the plural "bring their religions with them." I bet they all knew theirs was the right one too!
