Today this sweet duck approached me in my back yard. It's either a muscovy or a muscovy hybrid. It's now walking with a limp but demonstrated that it can still fly quite well.
Muscovies in Virginia are usually domestic ducks but sometimes they escape and go feral, at least for a while.
Saturday Critters / I'd Rather Be Birdin' |
On Thursday I went for a ride in the country after an appointment. Somewhere between Broadway and Forestville I saw cows on a nice farm.
This white duck was in Edinburg. I don't know whether it is a parent of the cute ducklings in the next photo.
There will be lots of oohs and ash's for those ducklings Linda. Standby.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of birds, I love the Robin and those cute ducklings. Pretty view of the cows. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy Sunday and a great new week! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Sorry to hear that the Muscovy is injured.
ReplyDelete...the ducklings sure are cute.
ReplyDeletethe robins have taken over here, they are quite abundant!!
ReplyDeletegood that the muscovy is still able to fly!!
Great birds and cows! I just realized I'd never heard of which ever species of ducks were cooked for all those dishes in restaurants...obviously something domestic. I haven't ever eaten one, though I tasted a bit of a duck one Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYou saw some cute critters!!
ReplyDeleteYou saw some nice backyard(?) visitors, but of course those ducklings were my favorite in this group.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Love to see robins!
ReplyDeleteThe cows noticed you.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photographs.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing robins.
All the best Jan
Those ducklings looks so fluffy! Glad the muscovy is still able to fly, hopefully, it heals soon. Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteBaby ducklings are so sweet! We often see one white goose in a big flock of Canada geese -- assume it is an escapee from a domestic flock that has gone feral, like your Muscovy.
