Elkton, Virginia.
The town of Elkton is surrounded by farm country and mountains. It was originally a settlement called Conrad's Store but was later named Elkton for the stream called Elk Run.

You can find farms on the edge of town, and a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the east. To the west is the southern end of the Massanutten Mountains.
I apologize for all the utility wires. I could Photoshop them out but I want to stay somewhat true to current reality.
Dropping in again as your colours and pictures are beautiful and interesting. Yes, I agree one shd not photoshop as utility wires and whatever tells a more interesting story. Love the colour of the Methodist Church.
ReplyDelete...the area is a beautiful setting for barns! Thanks Linda for stopping by, take care.
ReplyDeleteBOM DIA JESUS... BOM DIA MÃE MARIA SANTÍSSIMA... BOM DIA ESPÍRITO SANTO... BOM DIA A TODOS NÓS!!! TENHAMOS UM OLHAR DE MISERICÓRDIA.🙏🌹♥️🇧🇷🕊️🕯️📿🏠🙏
ReplyDeleteLovely church and farms. I would imagine having mountains to the east and the west would give lots of rain to the space of the valley.
ReplyDeleteNo apology necessary... although it is equally frustrating and interesting how our eyes don’t really see the wires in a landscape but our cameras sure do. ... it’s a sweet little country town. We have an Elkton near us here in Oregon.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful church with a unique bell tower. I love pastoral scenes such as these.
