Monday Murals. The faded and mostly forgotten advertisements painted on buildings are often called ghost signs. These are in Elkton, Virginia. The sign on the lower left has been painted over. I can see there were letters but they are pretty much obliterated.
Mosaic Monday. I gathered old photos showing shadows for a local photo group on Facebook. I thought I'd share some of them here as collages.

ReplyDeleteA few of those ghost signs in our town have been repainted and then treated with anti-graffiti coating. They are a great reminder of times past. Nice find! Happy New Year!
