Yesterday there was ice on the lake and the geese were able to march
around on it. Today some of it melted but we still have a few inches of snow
on the ground.
The squirrel doesn't wait for a turn. He takes what he wants until I scare him away. He comes back, though.
I need to get him some peanuts. I don't mind feeding him but I want to see birds on my feeders.
Hello Linda, I already saw your message in my reading list and now with a nice reaction from you to my writing. I don't always respond because sometimes people don't come back to see it at all and I prefer to visit the website like I do now. What a great blog to see and read and still no snow or frost here. And yes the squirrel also wants to collect some and chase away doesn't help as you already noticed. Because he also loves your food for the birds. And then it is indeed a tip to put some walnuts of hazelnuts for him of her at the tree where he/she might be. Wish you a beautiful day when it starts and then certainly beautiful moments for every day. LG, Tine Be also welcome to read more on my 2 websites.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt is cute to see the geese walking across the ice. The squirrels are on my feeders more than the birds. They are cute piggies, they can finish off my bird seed a few times a day. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post.
Take care, have a great Sunday! I wish you a happy new week ahead. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Poor sparrow... seems the squirrel called dibs!! Great photos. May your holiday week be blessed with happiness. Thanks so much for sharing this post today and linking up throughout 2020.
ReplyDelete...it looks like winter here too.
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks like they are ready to shiver! But it sure looks beautiful with your critters and the snow in the background. holiday hugs!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of wintertime. Dear squirrel, you are definitely an opportunist! I'm sorry not to have feeders (not allowed at apartments) but am glad to see yours here!
ReplyDeleteThe ice looks cold but it's fun to see the geese walk on water. Squirrels never give up.
ReplyDeleteThe squirrel makes me laugh. They never give up. :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems strange to see snow and ice so early as we don't normally see it until January, if at all. You're very generous giving Sammy his own nuts but I get your thinking.
ReplyDeleteThe squirrel gives you a challenging look in the last photo 😏
ReplyDeleteBeautiful winter captures and such cute little critters!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful winter photos.
ReplyDeleteThat squirrel is devious, but cute.
