Inspired Sunday: Aldie is a small but historic town in Loudoun County, Virginia. The Church of the Redeemer stands along the main street through the town, which happens to be US Route 50. This is an Episcopal Church built in 1890. At the present time, the church building is closed due to the pandemic and services are being held online.
Also along Route 50 is the town post office.

What a lovely church!
ReplyDelete...I love the church.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe church is pretty, I like the windows. Take care, enjoy your new week!
Interesting off center windows on the church. To have that happen in 1890 took a bit of acceptance on the part of a congregation, and imagination by the builders.
ReplyDeleteLovely buildings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little church. Glad they are still keeping it going.
ReplyDeleteThe church is beautiful, I wouldn't have guessed the age of the building had you not mentioned it in your post.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and wonderful they can still use this historical church as it was intended (or at least they could before Covid). The sign shows an Intelligent approach to dealing with the pandemic and a bit of a sense of humor about it. I have been appalled at the way some churches have flaunted common sense and refused to socially distance. ... the way this one does it shows truer Christianity I would think!
