When I left the gardens of Glen Burnie, I was surprised to find an outdoor show of photos. The photos are by Sarah Jones Decker and she has a new book, The Appalachian Trail: Backcountry Shelters, Lean-tos, and Huts.

The pictures blended in nicely with the foliage and rock walls. An outdoor exhibit ensures extra space for social distancing and fresh air too.On Friday I showed the gardens here with the large insect sculptures. We visit the Glen Burnie gardens several times a year.

ReplyDeleteWith regards to your last comment which you left on my blog, I didn't hear about that unusual measure issued by Texas' governor. Actually, if bars didn't sell drinks they wouldn't earn any money.
Sorry to hear new coronavirus cases have been increasing in some Southern states in US, such as Florida and California. Change in People's behaviour will be helpful (wearing masks, social distancing, washing our hands, etc.)
What fun, walk along outdoors looking at photos shelters that are along our Appalachian Trail. I think that's as close as I'd get these days, so I would really enjoy that exhibit. New materials make it possible for photos to be weatherproof and not to fade in sunlight like they used to.
