I couldn't really tell what king of bird this is, so I cropped in on a version of the shot. Perhaps one of our Bird D'Pot friends will identify it, or someone over at Saturday Critters.The View from Squirrel Ridge features thousands of views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. I can't tell if that last image has a black stripe [as a cuckoo] on its tail, or if that is the shadow of the branch it's perched on. Looks to have a yellow breast - or is that the lighting? Can't tell.

The lighting was golden. I couldn't see it very clearly but I don't think the bird was yellow.
