The Good: Pollinators! They move pollen from flower to flower, a function that is vital to the survival of plants and the success of agriculture.
The Random: I love birds and I like the challenge of photographing them. This bird surprised me because I don't usually seem him in our neighborhood. I think he's a green heron, although with the light coming from behind him, I could not see his color.
I still have some bird photos left from July so here are a couple more.
The Fun: Ever wish you could fly like a bird? It looks like fun, doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteHello, love the butterflies and the green herons. Great sightings and photos. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI'm finding butterflies to be a bit more challenging than the birds around here at least the Tiger Swallowtails I keep seeing. At least, the birds land once in a while! Great captures of all your butterflies and birds!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! The butterflies and the goose are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful swallowtail!
ReplyDeleteLovely butterflies!
ReplyDeleteGreen herons tend to be rarities here as well.
ReplyDeleteAll so good to see, but the first two are my favourite photographs.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Hello Linda!:) What a gorgeous Swallowtail butterfly, and I'm guessing the second image is of a fritillary. Both, as you say great pollinators, and a pleasure to see. The Green Heron, goose and Tree Sparrow are all great sightings. I have often thought how wonderful it would be to fly like a bird.:)
ReplyDeleteCéu lindo, fotos belas!
