Today I went to a talk in Edinburg that was sponsored by Friends of the North Fork. Anne Henriksen, PhD, discussed endocrine disrupters and how they effect fish in the North Fork of the Shenandoah. Researchers have identified 39 chemicals in the river that disrupt hormones and interfere with fish reproduction.The location was St. Paul's Heritage Center, which was originally St. Paul's Evangelical German Reformed Church.

Hate to hear our wastes in the water. Farm chemicals can be a problem, even showing up in the rain.

ReplyDeleteWe humans do so much damage to critters including our fish and birds.... We just got back from a trip to Indiana --and saw tons of those wind turbines.... Makes me sick since they kill birds.... Grrrrr...
