Emmanuel Church of Fishers Hill

Today we visited the town of Fishers Hill. This church is on a hill next to the town, but not on the prominence called Fishers Hill, once called the Gibralter of the Valley.

Emmanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church is on Church Hill Road.

Let's descend into the town of Fishers Hill which is actually a charming village along Tumbling Run.  The same creek runs through the nearby Civil War Battlefield.

  15. lovely country views, Linda! At first second, the church sign made me wonder when the Reformed church had joined with the Evangelicals - such an unlikely blend (!), but then the little word "and" (Evangelical and Reformed church) put me at ease:)
Yay, you made it in time this week for SEASONS! Much appreciated, and have a great rest of the week.

  16. That's a beautiful red barn. Is it a bank barn? We don't have many of those in the Northwest, so it's always nice to see photos of them.
